Relative clause adalah salah satu jenis dependent clause. Kalimatnya memiliki subjek dan verb tapi tidak bisa berdiri sendiri sebagai satu kalimat. Kalimat ini juga dikenal sebagai adjective clause karena fungsinya mirip dengan fungsi adjective atau kata sifat yaitu memberi informasi tambahan pada sebuah noun. Relative clause selalu dimulai dengan relative pronoun yang menggantikan noun, noun phrase, atau pronoun ketika beberapa kalimat digabung. Relative clause terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu restrictive relative clause dan non-restrictive relative clause.
